I used to love this place, but like a lot of restaurants, I think it lost some of its Magic touch when COVID hit. We used to go all the time, but now we just go every once in a while in hopes that one of the times we go, the place is back to how it was before. The last time we went, we took my Cousin's, and it was still a decent overall experience. I still feel the food is down a level and the sitting is a little messy. We had to sit by the door, and when it's cold, every time someone goes in and out you can for sure feel the difference. As this area continues to come up though it is in a nice location, also only about a 7-minute drive from one of Detroit's historic buildings that was recently renovated, "Michigan Central."

Like most places in Detroit, especially during the winter time I originally thought it might be a dive bar, but turned out. I was only half right one of the best breakfasts I had visiting my family in the area, The sausage gravy was Seasoned very well on the biscuits and gravy eggs were fluffy And the only time I have ever enjoyed home fries, crispy on the outside fluffy and soft in the middle.

Honest Johns rocked good biscuits and gravy, excellent fruity pebble French toast. Vegan options/subs are all over the menu, making it easy for everyone. Weirdly they didn’t have any milk for coffee only creamer/non dairy creamer not my personal preference but it was fine. The restaurant has a cool vibe and very friendly staff. The sign on the wall says men lie, so it’s up to you if you want to trust a man’s review.

Stopped in before a show at the Masonic Temple.i ordered the Johnny John burger and chili cheese fries, plus bottled Strohs beer. My brew was chilled, and the burger juicy. Just ñ. The burger alone could have filled me up but since I ordered it I dug into the chili cheese fries. The portion size is great, but the chili didn't do anything for my taste buds, uncharacteristically bland for a Detroit chili. I'd come back but order just fries as they had a nice flavor on thier own. Cool joint over all

Such a fun spot with cheap drinks! I only paid $5 for my gin and tonic, and was very pleased about that. Josie was superior, what a friendly and cool person. So happy we met! Food was good although - the burger was too big to eat! Although we do wish the toppings for the fries was more plentiful, we wanted to see more jalapeños! Staff was nice and the people there were super friendly. Overall a really good experience.

Some vegan items on the menu but no plant based milk to go with coffee. The french toast tasted great but even their full order is rather small. 4 pieces of toast but they're not full slices,.. some pieces looked like they were cut off by hand. Not very filling for the price you pay and def not a great presentation. Our server was not friendly at all. The atmosphere is of an upbeat diner with catchy decor and great music.

What an awesome dining experience. Definitely not your typical small diner. The decor was fun. Music was great and not very loud. The egg scramble was delicious. Good breakfast options and very AFFORDABLE. Our server was awesome. Didn't catch his name. He was very friendly. My group enjoyed their cocktails. Pace yourself. They are also open late. I would definitely recommend. SN: the bathroom looks a little sketchy with all the graffiti but it was very clean.
